Terms & License Agreement

These terms govern your purchase and use of Censr ("the Software"), a macOS application by Todd Edwards ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms.

Please read this first — Censr is defense in depth, not a guarantee. Censr reduces the risk of exposing sensitive information on screen, but no automated tool can detect and hide 100% of sensitive content in every situation. You are responsible for what you broadcast or share. Use Censr's safety buffer, panic hotkey, and always-blur list as layers — and never rely on it as your only safeguard. We are not liable for any information that is exposed despite using the Software.

1. License grant

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Censr on the number of devices permitted by your license key, for personal or commercial use. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

2. Restrictions

Don't resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share your license key.
Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent license enforcement, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
Don't use the Software for unlawful purposes.

3. Free trial

Censr offers a 14-day free trial with full features and no card required. After the trial, a valid license key is required to keep using it.

4. Payments & refunds

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, who handles billing and applicable taxes. Because a free trial lets you fully evaluate Censr before buying, we offer a 14-day refund on purchases that don't work for you — email todd@getcensr.com and we'll make it right. Refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy.

5. Updates

Your purchase includes updates within the same major version (v1). Future major versions or separately-sold products may require a new purchase or upgrade.

6. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will detect all sensitive content or be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss arising from exposed information, data loss, lost profits, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Software.

8. Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: your screen content never leaves your Mac.

9. Changes & governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here with a new date. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the author resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
